  • Tuesday, November 30, 2010: 2nd Scholastic Book Orders due to Mrs. McGee.  For your convience you can order online and 7th grade still gets credit.  Review McGee's Scholastic for great books to read.Go to http://www.scholastic.com/classhomepage

  • Current Events: Students are to complete a graphic organizer (Who, What, When, Why, How) and a two paragraph summary of the article (1st- summary of article in student's own words, 2nd- opinion).  Article can come from valid news sources on the internet, magazine or newspaper.  The article does not need to be attached, however all information about the article must be included.

  • Instruction:
    1. Click on student zone.
    2. Under Online Games, click on VA SOL practice test.
    3. Choose 5th or 8th grade science; choose 20 questions. 7th grade will complete 5th science; 8th grade will complete both 5th and 8th grade science.
    4. Click more options and choose ALL YEARS.
    5. Click next more options and choose ALL STRANDS.
    6. Click next more options and choose fixed test # ____. Choose the test # you need to take.
    7. You are ready to begin.  Each question will show a right or wrong answer.
    8. When you have completed the test, add your name and section to your results.
    9. Send your results to me at 68.pmcgee@heritageacademies.com.

  • pass "I can..." quiz (about observation/inference and line graph interpetation) with an 80% or higher.
  • finish cause and effect paper from wetland adventure (science fiction) story.

  • Study and complete science notebook pages 26 to 46.
  • Complete Jefferson Lab practice test.
  • Optional: workshop activites (varied).

Tuesday (7B, 8A, 8B):

There will be a daily quiz grade taken after each "I can.." statement is taught (either that day or the next class period).  It is highly important for students maintain and study their notebook each night.
